Psychiatric outpatient clinics
Psychiatric Outpatient Clinics (Psychiatrische Institutsambulanz = PIA) - It is a multiprofessional outpatient treatment service offered by psychiatric specialist hospitals and psychiatric departments at general hospitals. The psychiatric outpatient departments fulfill a specific care mandate (§ 118 SGB V) for people who, due to the nature, severity or duration of their illness, require such a special care offer close to the hospital.
